Anarcho-Capitalism as the Ideal Form of Classical Liberal Constitutional Democracy
In an important sense, anarcho-capitalism is the ultimate culmination of the principles of classical liberal constitutional democracy: it is a system in which "power" is decentralized among a theoretically unlimited number of private protection, mediation, and arbitration companies, market competition provides the most effective form of (unwritten) constitutional constraints, and popular (consumer) sovereignty directly determines who is in charge of keeping law and order by protecting life, liberty, and property. In other words, far from being an extremist deviation from the constitutional democratic form of the classical liberal project, anarcho-capitalism is its logical organizational conclusion.
