To Break the Spell is to Break the Chain

Never underestimate the beauty of the times in which you live, the times in which you can openly and consistently mock, ridicule, debunk, and humiliate the so-called "political authority" in all of its guises without serious fear of violent reprisal. And, in this connection, never underestimate the fact that such open and relentless mocking, ridiculing, debunking, and humiliating is the only weapon that can ultimately bring "political authority" down - not any of its particular manifestations, but the phenomenon itself. To break the spell is to break the chain, and the fact that the former is easier than ever before is reason enough to believe in social progress.
